Our two commercial condominium units are for sale. We will be moving to a new studio in the coming months, but will not have a gallery, or provide retail custom picture framing services. Please see our "contact" page for photos of the property.
Our favorite local artists:
James Owens
Heidi Gallo:
Heidi has studied watercolor painting with various instructors since 1995. She has a diploma in visual design from The School of the Worcester Art Museum/Clark University, where she majored in photography and graphic design. Heidi moved to Cape Cod in 1991. Her paintings have won many awards in juried shows.
"I love to paint dramatic light, like those paintings by Edward Hopper, my favorite artist. I love boats and the reflections in water, or on the curves of a classic automobile. I also love to capture old buildings and signs, nostalgic scenes from the past. It's wonderful to live in such a beautiful part of the country. I feel so fortunate to be able to capture it's beauty, and share it with others.”

Charles Szeglin
Charles (Charlie) passed away in late 2023. He will be missed by many admiring people.
Charlie had been painting for, give or take... 50+ years. It began while he was in the U.S. Navy and stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. It really accelerated, however, in 1962 when he began graduate work at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. He was inspired by the great marshes of the Hackensack River estuary that he traveled through every day, to and from his first job in Elizabeth, New Jersey.
“I saw the marshes in sun, snow, flood, storms, seasonal changes .....and at night. I began by making horizontal works with bands of color suggesting the marsh grasses and the sky with the changes of the seasons as my guide. Later I introduced actual fragments of marsh grasses as a collage material.”
Charlie was Director of Art for Bergenfield, a suburban New Jersey district with seven schools for 25 years, and a teacher of art for 31 years.
His paintings and prints were shown in galleries and exhibitions in the greater New York and New Jersey region from the 1960s through the 1990s, often in conjunction with the Painting Affiliates of the Art Center of Northern New Jersey. More recently he has exhibited in several locations near where he now lives, on Cape Cod.

James Owens
We regret having to report that James (Jim) Owens passed away in early August 2018 at age 90. Jim was a Cape Cod native, born in Eastham in 1928. He was a Marine veteran, graduate of Rhode Island School of Design and art teacher at Nauset High School for 26 years following his career as a commercial artist in New York City. He was a multi talented artist, adept in calligraphy, photography, pen and ink, scratchboard and watercolors. In summer he could be found at the old windmill on Route 6A in Eastham telling tales of local lore and history. A remarkably prolific artist, he was still painting and writing in the days prior to his passing. He will be missed by his many friends and acquaintances on the Lower Cape and beyond. We have access to a large collection of his original work.
